Due to local weather conditions, Stanly County Schools will operate on a TWO-HOUR DELAY on Friday, January 30, 2026.

• Students will begin school on a two-hour delay
• Staff will also operate on a two-hour delay
• Sports and extracurricular activities will be monitored

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. This decision was made after careful review of current and forecasted conditions in consultation with emergency management officials.

Please continue to monitor our district website, district and school Facebook pages, and school messenger calls for the most up-to-date information regarding school schedules and any potential changes.

❄️ Remote Learning Day | Thursday, January 29, 2026

Due to local weather conditions, Stanly County Schools will operate on a Remote Learning Day tomorrow, Thursday, January 29, 2026.

For Students:
• Follow your school’s remote learning schedule
• Check your learning platforms for assignments and teacher instructions

Activities Update:
• All sports and extracurricular activities remain canceled

For Staff:
• School buildings will open at 9:00 AM for staff who prefer to work on-site
• Staff choosing not to report should follow provided inclement weather work-from-home options that were emailed on Monday, Jan 26th or take leave as appropriate.

The safety of our students and staff is our top priority. This decision was made after careful review of weather forecasts and in consultation with Stanly County Emergency Management and the Transportation Department.
